We believe every child is born to lead
My Little Big Boss was founded on a simple, powerful truth: the entrepreneurial spirit doesn't wait for adulthood. It shows up in the lemonade stand, the classroom invention, the persistent question "what if?"
Our mission is to nurture that spirit with the structure, mentorship, and confidence young minds need to transform curiosity into capability. We don't just teach business skills — we cultivate the mindset that turns dreams into plans, and plans into reality.
Young entrepreneurs in their element — creating, presenting, leading
The gap we couldn't ignore
For decades, entrepreneurship education has been reserved for business schools and accelerator programs. By the time most people encounter it, they've already formed beliefs about what's possible for them.
Meanwhile, children display remarkable creativity, risk tolerance, and problem-solving instinct — qualities that fade when not nurtured. We watched brilliant young minds absorb the message that they needed to "grow up first" before their ideas mattered.
That didn't sit right with us. So we built something different.
TL;DR — What We Solve
- Entrepreneurship education starts too late, after mindsets have hardened
- Traditional curricula suppress creative risk-taking rather than cultivate it
- Young people lack access to mentors who understand their unique perspective
- Communities don't recognize youth ideas as legitimate economic contributions
Mentorship in action — every idea deserves guidance
The principles that guide our pride
Every lesson, every mentorship session, every program we design is filtered through these four non-negotiables.
Courage
We teach children to act despite fear — to pitch an idea, ask for help, and stand by their convictions. Courage isn't the absence of doubt; it's moving forward with it.
Curiosity
Questions matter more than answers. We cultivate relentless inquiry — the habit of looking at ordinary problems and seeing extraordinary opportunities.
Resilience
Failure is data. We reframe setbacks as stepping stones, teaching young entrepreneurs to iterate, adapt, and return stronger after every stumble.
Integrity
Trust is currency. We instill that doing the right thing — especially when no one is watching — builds the kind of reputation that outlasts any single success.
The lion within — quiet strength, fierce determination
Why the lion?
The lion has always represented sovereignty and inner strength — but not the loud, dominating kind. The kind that sits quietly in the grass, observing, calculating, knowing precisely when to move.
For us, the lion embodies the young entrepreneur perfectly: small in stature but immense in vision. A child who hasn't yet learned the word "impossible" carries the same raw authority as a lion before its first hunt — pure potential, unburdened by limitation.
Our lion motif appears throughout our programs as a reminder: leadership isn't about age, size, or volume. It's about the decision to take responsibility for your own path — and to bring others along with you.
From a single classroom to a movement
Every milestone began with one person believing that children deserve better than "wait your turn."
The Spark
Founder Maya Chen hosts the first "Little CEO" workshop in a community center basement. Twelve children show up. Three parents stay to watch. One child pitches an idea for a compostable phone case.
First School Partnership
A local elementary school invites us to pilot an after-school program. Enrollment fills in 48 hours. The waiting list teaches us that demand far exceeds supply.
Digital Pivot
When the world pauses, we accelerate. Our first online course reaches 200 students across three countries. A student in Nairobi builds a delivery service for elderly neighbors.
The Lion Roars
We rebrand as My Little Big Boss, complete with our lion identity and refined curriculum. 50+ schools and community centers now host our programs. Our first youth pitch competition awards real seed funding.
Global Pride
Operations expand to twelve countries. Our alumni network crosses 10,000 members. A former student, now 16, hires their first employee. The circle continues.
Building the Future
We're developing AI-powered mentorship tools, expanding scholarship programs for underserved communities, and preparing to launch our first youth-focused venture fund — run by alumni, for alumni.
Measured in lives changed
We don't just count participants. We track confidence gained, businesses launched, and minds opened to possibility.
